Crispy Bacon with Sour Cream Onion on Ciabatta Demi Baguette

Turn ordinary onion slices into spectacular topping on a baguette!

Ingredients:
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sour cream, full fat
Salt
Pepper, coarse grind
1/2 Ciabatta Demi Baguette, sliced length way
1 slice of Thick cut bacon, cut in 1" width
2 tbsp of Parmigiano-reggiano Romano cheese blend, grated

  1. Marinate thinly sliced onion with salt and pepper by putting them in a jar and shake them. Distribute seasoning evenly. Leave it in a jar for 2 minutes.
  2. Add sour cream in a jar. Mix well. Leave it for 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven at 385F°.
  4. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Place ciabatta bread cut side up on parchment paper. Spread marinated onion on each bread. Top with bacon pieces.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of bacon.
  7. Bake at 385F° for 17 minutes.
